We are a Cooperative firm born back in 1978, and we are running the Campsite Giannella since 1979.
In those years caravans were not really many, and camping basically meant to live close to the nature and to share a common experience together with other people.
Our choice was then to develop a campsite activity not only as a business resort, but also as a mean to make new friends and to share the sun, the sleeping bags, the all night long dinners, the wine and the sound of guitars.
With the passing of time needs have changed, and comfort is more requested. People run away from the more and more noisy and polluted cities in search of places where to find a human dimension and, according to the mood, fun or tranquillity, with no need to give up the comfort people are today used to.
Our commitment has always been to combine the safety and the protection of the environment with the will of a quiet stay.
In order to reach such a goal it is not only necessary to respect the rules of common life and the inner regulations of the campsite, a result of our long term experience. It is also essential to respect the environment.
The campsite is really beautiful and verdant, with its two pinewoods always assigned to common use for a nice rest in the shade, maybe on a nice hammock.
Our managerial choices have been made so that it remained more a campsite than a village.
You will find no asphalt, hot water is obtained from solar panels, unit houses are prefabricated, drinking water taps have timers, and cars are not allowed inside.
This is to make the campsite even more comfortable.
Here you will find wide and shady pitches, token washing-machines, a multi-purpose tennis court and a football field, an amusement park for children, a bar that sells also cigarettes, a market store with typical local products, a homely restaurant and pizzeria, a dancing ring, pitches for campers with pets, an open-air cinema, a beach with intact dunes and clean water.
But what we want you to know is that here you will surely meet our will to give you hospitality and to let you know our Maremma countryside beautiful in all seasons not only for the sea but also for the art and the culture, here, if you will not find us in jacket and tie, six languages fluently spoken, a director welcoming you, it is because our efforts are mainly concentrated in making you feel at home (or maybe to forget it, in case your wish is to escape from reality).
