Natural Park of the Maremma region
The Natural Park of the Maremma region was established in 1975 and includes the Mountains of Uccellina, the marshy area at the end of Ombrone, the moor lands of Trappola, the pinewoods of Albrese and the countryside where wild horses and oxen live.
In other words a very complex ecosystem where different species have found an ideal habitat. The Park is open to the public following guided tours either on foot or by horse.
